Chaffles, glorious, savory chaffles!

When most people start a ketogenic diet, they think they have to go without things like bread and waffles. Not true! In fact, Keto Bread is a thing and it's super tasty. And the chaffle, pictured below, is courtesy of my 13-year old daughter and she loves them more than flour-based waffles. So, chin up - the keto diet is not about deprivation and it's not that difficult once you learn a few new recipes and get a few new ingredients in your cabinets.

Ingredients


  • 2 eggs, scrambled

  • 1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese of your choice)


Instructions


This recipe requires a waffle iron.


  1. Scramble two eggs, set aside.

  2. Pre-heat your waffle iron.

  3. Once iron is hot, sprinkle with half the cheese, pour the scrambled eggs on top, and sprinkle with the rest of the cheese.

  4. Quickly close waffle iron and cook according to your waffle iron's specifications.


Enjoy all by itself, sprinkled with salt and pepper! Or dress up with hot sauce, salsa, or whatever toppings you like
